Erdogan Hosts Bosnia’s Presidency Chair During Official Visit to Turkey
The reception was held at the Presidential Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul and was followed by a bilateral meeting between the two leaders. Discussions centered on regional matters and the bilateral relationship between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as noted in a statement from the Presidency’s Communications Directorate on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.
During the meeting, Erdogan emphasized that Türkiye will continue providing unconditional support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional framework. He warned that the region cannot tolerate adventurism, and that provocative statements undermining Bosnia and Herzegovina’s unity “will benefit no one.”
Erdogan stressed the importance of unity among those backing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s integrity, adding that Türkiye considers any actions threatening the vital interests of the Bosniaks as unacceptable.
Becirovic, the Bosniak member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s three-member presidency—which also includes a Croat and a Serb—assumed the chair this month. The meeting underscored Türkiye’s continued commitment to supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina amid ongoing regional tensions.
